The Technical Specification for Pile Raft Foundation with Controllable Stiffness, prepared by our company, was reviewed and approved for release by Foundation Professional Committee of the Association, numbered T/CECS 1038-2022, and will be implemented from August 1, 2022.

The controllable stiffness pile raft foundation refers to pile raft foundation that is equipped with stiffness adjusting device at pile top to adjust and optimize pile soil bearing stiffness and distribution of pile raft foundation in passive or active manner, this technology makes full use of the surplus bearing capacity of soil and reduces the internal force of foundation, breaks through the conventional optimization design concept, which could greatly reduce project cost. This technology could be widely used in different situations, such as high bearing stiffness piles, raft stiffness leveling, waste pile recycling, mixed bearing, etc., which has good economic benefits and application prospects.
