Though separated by thousands of miles, we share the same faith and target. The project management departments of SDM are all over the motherland, and the hot summer is the busiest time for our projects. The Yunnan Coal Coking Project team, located in the southwest border of the motherland, also ushered in the construction peak in the rainy season of Yunnan province.

Yunnan Coal 7.6m Coke Oven is a SWJ76-1 type 7.6m large top charging green intelligent coke oven developed by SDM and PW Company of Italy for the capacity and land occupation of Yunnan Coal Coking Project. It represents the world's first-class process level and represents the international advanced level in terms of coke oven proper, process equipment, automation and environment-friendly project. As the first 7.6m top charging coke oven project designed and built in China by SDM, all members of the project team are well aware of the significance of the Yunnan Coal Project. Since the year of 2022, with the concerns and strong support of SDM top management and with the leadership of the project manager, Mr.Chen Zhongliang, the project team has overcome all kinds of difficulties and achieved one victory after another. The masonry of 2 # coke oven was started on December 30, 2021, the masonry of 1 # coke oven was started on February 21, 2022, the masonry and capping of 2 # coke oven was started on April 20, 2022, the masonry and capping of 1 # coke oven was started on June 20, 2022, the ignition and drying of 2 # coke oven was started on July 1, 2022, and the ignition and drying of 1 # coke oven was started on August 7, 2022. Now the milestone of production on September 30 is in sight, which brought both pressure and motivation to all members of the project team.

From 20 to 22 of July, 2022, President Liu Daoqing of the Project Management Branch led the team to the Yunnan Coal Coking project team to carry out the whole process management inspection of the EPC project and the activity of "sending cool air in summer and condoling the front-line". During this period, President Liu and his delegation went deep into the construction site and made key inspections on the safety and civilized construction management, construction quality and progress. At the inspection summary meeting, Vice President Liu Daoqing pointed out the problems found in the inspection process and proposed rectification requirements. At the meeting, company level safety training was also conducted for all members of the Project team, requiring the members of the Project team to constantly improve the safety and quality management level of the project, enhance the safety awareness, and strengthen the management of safety and quality details during the construction process, so as to ensure that the project is carried out with high quality, as per schedule, saving cost, safe and orderly.

After the inspection and condolence activities, Mr. Chen Zhongliang, the project manager, based on the progress of the Yunnan Coal Project and in combination with the work division of the members of the project team, made a detailed arrangement of the work of the project, identified the responsible person of each work and the completion mile stone, and at the same time, unified the idea for everyone, gathered energy, and encouraged everyone to work together towards the 9-30 mile stone. After the work is completed every Tuesday and Thursday, all members of the Project team and the heads of each construction agent shall attend the project carding meeting to communicate and coordinate the completion of the current work, the problems in the work, and the following work arrangement. After the construction agent leaves the meeting, all members of the project team should continue to summarize the work that has been completed, make a detailed plan for the next step of work, and do their best to ensure that the 9-30 production mile stone is completed on schedule, so as to live up to the trust of SDM top management and the client.
