On March 13, with the closing of the circuit breaker, the first gas-fired double super generator set of Shandong Steel Co., Ltd., Laiwu branch's new and old kinetic energy conversion 2x70mw surplus gas resources comprehensive utilization power generation project, was successfully connected to the grid for power generation at one time. Wei Xinmin, chairman of the company, and Lin Jisheng, deputy general manager, attended the grid connected power generation ceremony.

On December 12, 2021, boiler No.1 was officially ignited. On January 6, 2022, the purging of steam pipe of steam turbine was qualified. On February 28, the steam turbine generator set was successfully run at one time. On March 10, the system completed reverse power transmission and officially met the conditions for grid connected power generation. On March 13, the grid connected power generation was successful. This is the first general contracting construction of the company and the first gas-fired double super power generation system of Shandong steel company.

Under the careful planning and overall arrangement of the on-site project department, after countless days and nights of hard work. All members of the project department made concerted efforts to deal with various difficulties, carefully organized and coordinated all participating units, adhered to the double eight regular meetings and the system of two meetings a day, checked problems, made lists, strengthened supervision and strict assessment, and worked hard to overcome a series of difficulties such as tight construction period, heavy tasks, high technical standards, many process categories involved, long rainy season, epidemic situation and insufficient construction force for several months since the ground breaking in March 2021, In the end, the work of oven,turning and grid connection was successfully completed at one time.

In 2020, in order to respond to the national call for "energy conservation and emission reduction" and make full use of the remaining blast furnace, converter and coke oven gas, Laiwu branch's new and old kinetic energy conversion phase I project plans to build two sets of 70MW ultra-high temperature and ultra-high pressure primary reheat pure condensing steam turbine power generation systems, with a design capacity of 220t / h, main steam temperature of 576 ℃ and main steam pressure of 13.7mpa. The project adopts single cylinder double super steam turbine power generation equipment and supporting double super boiler with front and rear wall combustion, which includes the advanced technology of domestic gas generator units with the same parameters, which can significantly improve the gas utilization rate and then improve the power generation efficiency of the unit. The operation of the project will provide strong technical support for Laiwu branch of Shandong Steel Co., Ltd. to maximize the utilization of surplus gas, green, intelligent and low-carbon.
