At 10:00 am on March 16, 2021, “Replacing Traditional Drivers with New Ones”project of Laiwu Branch of of Shandong Iron and Steel Co.,Ltd. held a groundbreaking ceremony for the converter continuous casting water treatment system project in Taojialing District.

Shandong Iron and Steel Co.,Ltd. Laiwu branch, supervision unit, construction unit, etc. participated in the groundbreaking ceremony. The water treatment system project department of SDM Taojialing converter continuous casting project presided over the groundbreaking ceremony. Liu Hongliang, deputy general manager of SDM and general manager of Shandong Yaohua Energy Investment Management Co., Ltd. attended the groundbreaking ceremony and gave a speech.

Mr. Liu said that, as the first time for the domestic steel industry to operate a steelmaking and continuous casting supporting circulating water treatment project in the BOT mode, the project is required to highly coordinate and match the production of steelmaking and continuous casting with various indicators such as water supply volume, water quality, and water supply continuity. We deeply feel that the responsibility is heavy. And we will form a high-level construction and operation management team, strengthen construction quality management, scientific deployment, careful construction, strict quality and safety control, and make this project a high-quality project and a demonstration project.

Shandong Yaohua Water Development Co., Ltd., as the investment and operation company of this project, was established on June 16, 2020. It was jointly established by Shandong Yaohua Energy Investment and Management Co., Ltd. and Hunan Shanshui Energy Conservation Technology Co., Ltd. It is a specialized company for the construction and operation of water treatment projects in the steel industry.
