At 21:28 on December 31, 2020, the ignition and heating-up of 7# Battery for the Coke Oven EPC Project of Hunan Hualing Xiangsteel contracted by SDM were conducted, marking the stage victory of the project.

The Coke Oven Project of Hunan Hualing Xiangsteel is the fifth set of 7.3m clean and efficient large-scale coke oven built by SDM in China, and it is the first 7.3m coke oven project after the vigorous promotion of Rizhao Quality Steel Base of Shansteel. The project is planning to setup 2 batteries of 50-oven 7.3m large-scale energy-saving and environmental protection coke oven, aiming to become the benchmark model project in the southern coking market..

Since the construction of this project has been carried out, the leaders of SDM have always attached great importance to the project, and the project department has strictly demanded itself with the standard of "world-class engineering and technical team", adhering to the concept of sincere service and serving the project with practical actions that dare to undertake responsibilities. In 2020, in the face of severe epidemic prevention and control situation and under the leadership of the company's leaders, all the designers of the project department make concerted efforts to do a good job in the coke oven project of Xiangsteel. In order to catch up with the project node and meet the demand on site, the designers often work overtime, and even work until the early hours of the morning; In order to ensure the timely supply of refractory materials, the purchasing supervisors spared no effort to urge the delivery of the refractory, coke oven machine and other equipment in the manufacturer; In order to ensure the high-quality construction of coke oven, the on-site personnel, regardless of the hot summer and cold winter, always stick to their posts,  overcome various difficulties, and constantly shuttle between various departments for communication and coordination. As the engineering company of this coke oven, we have won the praise from the Owner with sincere and meticulous service.

Ignition and heating-up of 7 # battery is a stage victory of our preliminary work, but the next task is still very arduous, the project department will make persistent efforts, do not forget the original intention, strive for early commissioning of 7# battery with coke discharge as well as the ignition and heating-up of 8 # battery.
