Successful commissioning of the first activated coke DeSOx & DeNOx system project with zero wastewater discharge (salt separation) in China

The 2x480m2 sintering machine DeSOx & DeNOx project with zero wastewater discharge (salt separation) of Laiwu Iron & Steel Group, after pretreatment, membrane salt separation, evaporation crystallization and other processes, recently has been successful for commissioning with production of sodium chloride salt. This project is the first activated coke DeSOx & DeNOx system project with zero waste water discharge (salt separation) in China.

  As one of the most advanced technologies for ultra-low atmospheric emission, the activated coke DeSOx & DeNOx technology has the advantages of high efficiency of DeSOx & DeNOx without water consumption and solid waste generation. However, when sulfur dioxide gas after DeSOx is used to produce sulfur-containing products, a small amount of wastewater will be generated, which is acidic, high in salt content and complex in composition, and cannot be treated by technology to meet the emission standards, so the wastewater generated by activated coke DeSOx & DeNOx desorption gas will even become the bottleneck restricting the promotion of the most advanced activated coke DeSOx & DeNOx technology with ultra-low atmospheric emission.

      The 2x480m2 sintering machine DeSOx & DeNOx project of Laiwu Iron & Steel Group is one of the BOO projects with large investment in SDM, The leaders of SDM attach great importance to it, organize relevant departments to study, discuss and test repeatedly, finally forming a complete set of technological process to treat this part of wastewater. This process is independently researched and developed by SDM, and the success of this project provides strong backing for the further market development of SDM’s active coke DeSOx & DeNOx process.
