The company officially launched Bentley digital software in July 2020. It is a solid step forward from software learning to its application in our 2×65MW comprehensive power generation with surplus gas  project, and based on this, we took the opportunity to apply for the 2021 Go Digital Awards held by Bentley Systems--an infrastructure engineering software company that is known as Mini Oscar in digital infrastructure. More than 300 projects from 45 countries and regions participated in the competition, and a total of 57 projects were shortlisted for the finals. Our company competed with MCC Capital Engineering&Research Incorporation Limited, Zhongnan Engineering Corporation Limited and many foreign engineering companies for the Going Digital Award.

This project is our first three-dimensional digital forward design project, which aims to solve the design problems such as pipeline collision, collaboration among disciplines, important material statistics and so on. A total of 10+ digital softwares were used by different disciplines, and the above design objectives have been preliminarily completed with the help of project wise collaborative design platform. With its outstanding performance, the organizing committee picked it out from a series of projects to enter the final stage for power generation contest. Given the limited experience in using this software (one year and few months) we are more encouraged for this achievement..

From the competition, we learned that other companies that entered the finals began to move towards digital construction, digital twinning and digital delivery based on design. Limited by the depth of our understanding about the software, we finally stopped in the finals. In the future, we will improve our digital design system and promote the deepening of civil structure from conceptual design to construction drawing design with the help of ProStructures (steel structure and building reinforcement design software) and STAAD (structural analysis). With the help of auto pipe software, the pipeline specialty completed the application of pipeline stress analysis and calculation in digital engineering design. At the same time, we will deeply explore the function and value of digital design, and gradually promote the application of digital design in real scenes such as digital construction, twinning and delivery.
