On December 30, 2021, the EPC project of Yunmei Engergy of 2# coke oven of 2 million ton coking capacity has officially started. The coke oven adopts 7.6m  top-charging green intelligent coke oven technology jointly developed and designed by Italian PW and SDM. This technology represents the most cutting-edge level of the world coking industry and is honored as the "top ten technologies of the world of iron and steel industry in 2020".

Before the site field leveling and flattening, the north side is an incompletely excavated hillside, and the south side is an unfulfilled retaining downslope and a non-desilted pool. For the sake of overcoming the tight schedule and the heavy works. SDM formed a project team on April 19th to focus on this project, and dispatched site managers to site later on. Cooperated with Client closely and finished many preparations works, installation-test of transformers, flattening of site, and backfilling and desilting the pool, which laid the foundation for starting the piling works on June 19.  

Just after the piling works starts, the rainy season began. On the premise of ensuring safety and in order to catch up the construction schedule without making any delay, all the project personnel work even in the raining time. We overcame many difficulties, muddy road causes transportation problem, narrow space makes work hampered, epidemic influences shortage of manpower, etc. SDM accomplished safety check, quality control and time control, worked against the cold weather in shifts around the clock in 24hour. Promoting the SDM Spirit and Tradition of “Relentless Hard Work Under Extreme and Arduous Conditions to Solve Critical Problems and Achieve Successes”. Hence, the oven masonry work started on December 30th, 2021.     

During this period, the project has received active coordinations and full supports from leaders and departments at all levels of Yunmei energy. Got Shanhe Supervisor’s professional technical check and normative guidance, and 9th MCC construction’s good organization and hard work ! Gained strongly support and cooperation by the leaders and relevant departments of SDM.

     All project personnel will never forget the original intention of building the 2 million ton coke oven of Yunmei Energy into a benchmark of the coking industry, and keep in mind the mission of ensuring safety and quality, and ensuring the completion of project on time, Handover a satisfactory plant to Client. .
